Leading the path towards a new generation of Circular Economy Managers

The emergence of circular economy requires a new generation of managers who possess the necessary skills to drive sustainable change.

CEMforSMEs is a two-year project

Funded by the Erasmus+ programme that aims to support the professional development of SMEs managers, contributing to the development of circular economy skills, through the design of an innovative gamified curriculum and a training course. It also aims to develop the job profile of the Circular Economy Manager (CEM), through the integration of the course in the Vocational, Educational and Training (VET) curricula and the establishment of the CEM’s certification process.

Action Plan

CEMforSMEs will

Promote the SMEs managers’ professional development in order to assist their companies in the shift to circular economy.

Contribute to the development and integration of VET learner’s circular economy skills.

Create the CEM profile and define his/her responsibilities, aiming to improve the quality of circular economy job prospects.

Create a unique training program that incorporates gamification for competency development.

Establish the CEM certification process.

The CEMforSMEs' consortium is spread among Europe, consisting of a total of 7 organizations from Portugal, Spain, Cyprus, Belgium, Greece and Italy.
